Job Description

The Strategic Capacity Manager will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing the capacity of semiconductor suppliers to meet the company's production needs. This requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage and optimize semiconductor supply capacity.
  • Analyze capacity data and forecasts to ensure alignment with production schedules and demand plans.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand their capacity constraints and develop plans to address potential bottlenecks.
  • Monitor and report on supplier capacity performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to anticipate and address capacity-related issues.
  • Conduct regular capacity reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and production requirements.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers by providing capacity-related insights and data.
  • Develop and maintain capacity planning tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions that could impact capacity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capacity management processes and performance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in capacity management, supply chain management, or procurement, preferably within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor market, including supply chain dynamics, pricing trends, and key suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
