Merchant Banking Lead

This role requires a seasoned professional to manage and execute merchant banking assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct teams in executing end-to-end merchant banking mandates, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, prepare offer documents, and maintain regulatory compliance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, including legal advisors, auditors, registrars, share transfer agents, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide guidance on corporate governance, listing obligations, and compliance under SEBI and Companies Act provisions.
  • Develop policies and frameworks under the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI (LODR) Regulations.
  • Represent the organization before regulators and exchanges for approvals and queries.
  • Mentor and train teams on regulatory and operational aspects of merchant banking assignments.
  • Stay updated with evolving market regulations and adapt strategies accordingly.

Candidate Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of companies laws, including the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI Regulations.
  • Proven experience in leading merchant banking assignments, with a strong background in merchant banking, investment banking, or capital markets.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and presentation skills.
  • Strong team leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Relationship management skills with clients and regulatory bodies.
