Reward Manager Role Purpose:

The Compensation Operations Leader will oversee the day-to-day execution of all compensation-related activities, acting as a key escalation point for standard operating procedures (SOPs) across employee remuneration, benefits, and incentives. This role ensures that governance, accuracy, and compliance are upheld in routine processes while driving continuous improvement and automation through systems such as Workday.

  • Lead the operational delivery of compensation processes including job architecture, salary structures, market data oversight, benefits administration management, and incentive scheme governance.
  • Act as 1st point of escalation for BAU queries (stage 1 resolution handled by Analysts).
  • Oversee and project manage cyclical compensation activities (e.g. Annual Compensation Review) ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure benefit processes are accurate and compliant, acting as managerial back-up for UK benefits governance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the Compensation Analysts to build capability and resilience in the team.
  • Oversee ad-hoc compensation projects ensuring delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and standardisation of compensation operations across markets.
  • Maintain strong compliance with legal, tax, and data protection requirements in all compensation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of compensation data.
  • Manage and coordinate compensation cycles, processes, and projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compensation policies, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to analysts on compensation-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development of the compensation strategy and business plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in compensation/employee remuneration operations within a complex organisation.
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Excel and modelling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and software.
  • BA/BSc degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
