Procurement Strategist Role

The Procurement Strategist is responsible for overseeing timely and cost-effective material acquisition processes across the organization. This position requires strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of market dynamics and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize high-quality material purchases at optimal costs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites and efficient payment to suppliers.
  • Optimize inventory by streamlining lot sizes and reducing lead times.
  • Transfer excess dead stock between locations.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with vendors through joint improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively coordinate with all sites and conduct regular site visits.
  • Develop extensive networks within and outside the organization.
  • Continuously monitor and review procurement processes, taking corrective action as needed to achieve goals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Expertise in construction materials.
  • Experience in end-to-end procurement and supply chain management.
  • High-rise building experience preferred.
  • Ability to enhance product value, obtain annual rate contracts, and substitute OEMs.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Inventory control and optimization skills.
  • Research-oriented role with continuous monitoring and review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in purchase management.
  • Real estate experience an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of property market dynamics, valuation, and laws.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in real estate management software and tools.
