Job Title: DataStage Expert Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned DataStage Expert Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on the administration, maintenance, and optimization of InfoSphere DataStage environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting of InfoSphere DataStage Client and Server
  • Administration and server maintenance/upgrades/patches/installation of InfoSphere DataStage environments
  • Build and monitor server usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements for ETL Applications (Administrative Views for InfoSphere DataStage, Server Usage Report)
  • Expertise on AWS and Azure Cloud and related technologies
  • Expertise on CI/CD process using Jenkins/UDeploy/Git
  • Expertise on IDE (Integrated Development Environment)
  • Performance tuning and server management of InfoSphere DataStage server environment (clustering, Load balancing)
  • Collaborate with business teams for managing user and group permissions, workflows, and projects, database views, data sources, and data connections
  • Migrate and support content from development to production environments
  • Provide training and support to business users on InfoSphere DataStage tools, best practices, and standards
  • Assist in identifying and migrating data sources to InfoSphere DataStage servers
  • Document best practices for InfoSphere DataStage development and administration
  • Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities
  • Monitor and handle InfoSphere DataStage and services during windows server maintenance
  • Configure and optimize server settings; apply trace logs on servers for troubleshooting complex incidents
  • Troubleshoot dashboards, system slowness; create ODBC, OLE connections for SQL DB servers; implement firewall rules on InfoSphere DataStage processing servers
  • Setup, deployment, and maintenance of Linux servers
  • Provide off-hours and weekend support in an on-call rotation

Requirements:

  • 8-11 years of experience in InfoSphere DataStage administration and development
  • Experience with InfoSphere DataStage 11.x or newer
  • Bachelor's degree or better preferred

Desired Skills:

  • Expertise on various database drivers (DBX, ODBC, JDBC)
  • Working knowledge on Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, etc.
  • Expertise on UNIX and Windows scripting
  • Working knowledge on Python and REST API
  • Working knowledge on Okta and other SSO technologies
