Job Title: Senior Database Administration Specialist

Job Description

As a Senior Database Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal health, availability, performance, and security of all databases. This includes providing hands-on expertise for database design, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and other NoSQL solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure database systems are running at optimal levels, with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  2. Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of data loss or system failure.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data availability and database updates.
  4. Provide day-to-day support to IT support groups, partners, and customers as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience with database design, development, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
  • Ability to develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
