ETL Datastage Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Datastage Developer to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, experience in data warehousing and business intelligence tools, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and implement ETL processes using Datastage 8.x/9.x tool.
  • Create efficient and effective data transformations, data loading, and data movement scripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Maintain and improve existing ETL processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, including data lineage and metadata management.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DW/BI technologies and development experience in ETL DataStage 8.x/9.x tool.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of data warehouse and various methodologies.
  • Excellent SQL database skills in Teradata and other databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 etc.
  • Working knowledge in UNIX shell scripting.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to work with US/UK clients and overlapping working hours.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
