Lead Architect

Job Description

  • Coordinate with concept design teams for complex project designs as needed, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient project delivery.
  • Guide selected design options into schematic and final designs, including detailed drawings and comprehensive reports.
  • Cross-coordinate design requirements across disciplines for complex projects in all design stages, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop design value engineering strategies for complex projects, enhancing project outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Review and validate design deliverables with clients and authorities, capturing feedback and obtaining approvals in a timely manner.
  • Develop tender documents, including specifications, Bills of Quantities, and Conditions of Contract, and provide support during the tender process to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review design deliverables of medium complexity projects, conducting detailed reviews and checks, and issuing checking reports to facilitate project progress.
  • Support Project Managers in developing work programs, managing changes in project scope, schedule, or budgets, ensuring effective project management.
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and project schedules, utilizing expertise to optimize project outcomes.
  • Manage project contractual risks, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
  • Manage external suppliers and subcontracts, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing project budgets and schedules, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Support in developing periodic progress reports, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Implement quality control policies and procedures on design deliverables and conduct peer reviews to ensure excellence in project delivery.
  • Provide supervision support, responding to RFIs and solving design conflicts in a timely and professional manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Master's Degree in Architecture or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in architectural design functions.
  • Strong experience in developing designs for large and complex projects.
  • In-depth knowledge in architectural design.
  • Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
  • Exposure to global best practices and trends.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and attention to details.

Software Knowledge

  • Revit Architecture.
  • BIM 360.
  • AutoCAD.
  • MS Office.
