Position Overview

The organization is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Lead to oversee its financial administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, cost control, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement long-term financial plans, ensuring sound management and compliance.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to design and monitor fundraising strategies.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control
    • Oversee the preparation, monitoring, and management of annual budgets.
    • Implement effective cost control measures to optimize resources and ensure financial discipline across all departments and projects.
  • Process Optimization
    • Streamline financial systems, processes, and reporting mechanisms for efficiency.
    • Introduce automation and digital tools to improve transparency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Fund Management & Risk Planning
    • Manage cash flows, investments, and fund utilization to ensure liquidity and sustainability.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring strong internal controls.
  • Reporting & Compliance
    • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of MIS reports, board presentations, and donor reports.
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance team.
    • Partner with senior leadership, ministry heads, and operational teams for financial decision-making.
    Qualifications
    • Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification.
    • 20+ years of progressive experience in financial management, administration, or controlling roles.
    • Strong track record in budgeting, cost optimization, and financial leadership at a senior level.
