Engineering Specialist II Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Engineering Specialist II to manage and maintain our Aero lab across various sites. This role involves handling different test solutions and equipment, ensuring they are up-to-date with calibration and certification requirements.

  • The Electronic Test team is responsible for electronic test activities on an avionics engineering program(s).
  • As an Eng Supp Spec II, you will work with different teams across Aero to update and review electrical and mechanical needs for different test setups as per product specifications.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the lab layout to create space for upcoming programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of using different lab instruments and tools like DMMs, Analyzers etc.
  • Strong work experience with Cable harness fabrication (crimping & Soldering) as per standards.
  • Detailed knowledge of different kinds of power used across labs (AC & DC).
  • Plan the lab layout for different types of test benches and explore opportunities for lab space optimization.
  • Plan electrical and Mechanical requirement of different lab across HTS site and support deployment of test benches in lab.
  • Cable fab, Soldering, Lab Equipment Handling, ESD in lab and have good understanding of IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Electrical & mechanical integration knowledge.
  • Proactively connect with users and collaborate with product teams to understand the overall test solution needs.
  • Effectively map the competitive landscape, benchmark the design and technology trends.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of industry experience in lab management with hand-on experience in equipment calibration, testing and maintenance.
  • Diploma or equivalent degree in Electrical engineering.
  • Hands-on experience on dealing with different teams across organizations for coordination of lab upgrade and maintenance.
  • Should have knowledge of different kinds of cable harness and connectors (DSUB,Circular).
  • Should have a good understanding of different lab equipment, their functions and input requirements.
  • Should have good understanding of Lab electrical, Mechanical and cooling requirement,
  • Go-getter attitude and ability to maneuver in complex, abstract and dynamic business scenarios
  • Should have good understanding of AC and DC power supply systems.
  • Prior hands-on experience on test solution
