Senior Optics Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Optics Specialist to lead our optical engineering efforts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex optical systems, developing and optimizing optical models, and performing stray light analysis using advanced software tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, validating, and optimizing optical systems for imaging and illumination applications.
  • Conducting trade-off studies between different design options and materials.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate optical designs into larger product development projects.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest methodologies and tool capabilities in stray light modeling.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with optical design software, including Zemax and SPEOS. A strong knowledge of non-sequential ray tracing, ghost analysis, and scatter modeling is also required.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing new optical design techniques and standards.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to apply advanced optical design principles and mitigate stray light effects.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.

The selected candidate will be responsible for generating clear and concise technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client reviews.
