Business Development Manager

The successful candidate will have experience working within a bid team, ensuring any bid/proposal documentation is well-formatted and consistent with our branding. Additionally, they will be responsible for proofreading all completed documents and providing administrative support to the bid team.

A key aspect of this role is managing the bid timetable, ensuring bid team members respond in line with the bid plan, and that all deadlines are met and bids are submitted on time and in the correct manner.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Business Development Manager, responsible for driving business growth through effective bid management.

Your primary focus will be on preparing and submitting high-quality bids, working closely with the bid team to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the bid process, ensuring all documentation is well-formatted and consistent with our brand guidelines.
  • Proofread and quality-check all completed documents, guaranteeing accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide administrative support to the bid team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the bid team to prepare and submit high-quality bids, meeting tight deadlines and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual understanding.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bid management or a related role.
  • Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships.
