Chef Responsibilities:
  • Quality and Presentation: Ensure that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
  • Menu Planning: Plan the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen operations.
  • Team Management: Coordinate kitchen staff, and assist them as required.
  • Staff Training: Train staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
  • Inventory Management: Take stock of ingredients and equipment, and place orders to replenish stock.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Enforce safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
  • Innovation: Create new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with industry trends.
  • Continuous Improvement: Receive feedback and make improvements where necessary.
Chef Requirements:
  • Culinary Qualifications: Culinary school degree/diploma.
  • Work Experience: Past experience as a working chef.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of the culinary arts.
  • Quality Focus: Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
  • Portfolio: Portfolio of creative, unique dishes.
  • Multi-Tasking: Expert multitasking ability.
  • Leadership: Great leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.
  • Work Ethic: Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment.
  • Passion for Food: Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
  • Cuisine Knowledge: Should know Chinese cuisine.

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Stipend: Rs.7,000 per month
