Loan Review Specialist

This is a critical role in reviewing mortgage files submitted to our Underwriting team. The successful candidate will require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform complete and thorough reviews of mortgage loan files including income, assets, credit, and collateral
  • Utilize our loan operating system to ensure accurate data entry
  • Review loans in accordance with our guidelines, utilizing automated underwriting systems or manual guidelines
  • Evaluate and ensure overall loan documents are accurate, complete, and compliant
  • Identify and/or clear red flags or alerts
  • Issue loan decisions and conditions accordingly
  • Review and approve conditions for compliance and completion of the loan file
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients
  • Maintain current knowledge of our requirements and those of our investors
  • Resolve pre and post-closing issues as they relate to underwriting
  • Assist Processors/Loan Officers in understanding underwriting decisions and conditions
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years current conventional mortgage loan underwriting experience

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage underwriting and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
