Samshek is a pioneering tech fashion startup that provides clothing for women in all sizes. Leveraging our patented manufacturing technology, we process all orders as made to order and dispatch within 48 hours using our digital inventory and working towards Zero Waste.

We are looking for an enterprising individual with technical understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and garment manufacturing processes for complicated designs. Our team is closely knit together and transparency at all levels is followed at Samshek to provide a seamless experience to our clients. We are partnering with upcoming designers to create a sustainable supply chain.

This role leads the merchandising of a B2B team, requiring an expert with knowledge of advanced Excel & data visualization tools and exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes.

  • Optimize the buying cycle by leading the merchandise team and setting up new processes to improve procurement strategy.
  • Ensure on-time fulfillment by planning capacity and production with operations manager, suppliers, and ensuring timely inspection.
  • Share detailed tech packs or specification sheets and quality standards with vendors for coordination.
  • Work with vendors for development sampling and initial costs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits to address any issues or non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with production plans and business goals.

Requirements:

  • Past experience in managing production or sourcing (ideally 2+ years)
  • Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology
  • Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes
  • Technical understanding of pattern and fit development of garments—knowledge of AUTO CAD would be preferred
  • Merchandise sourcing knowledge - experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure; in large-sized buying offices or Export House
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel & data visualization tools
  • Digitally savvy & adept at implementing new technologies & tools
