Production Merchandiser Job

The role of a Production Merchandiser is vital to the success of our retail products. This position involves managing product development, merchandising, sourcing, supplier management, logistics coordination, and quality control. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage product ranges from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and production as per design requirements.
  • Evaluate and present pre-development samples to stakeholders for feedback.
  • Maintain product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability by monitoring and evaluating these aspects.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on costing to achieve optimal pricing.
  • Source raw materials, trims, and accessories, as well as job workers, to support production.
  • Plan, order, and follow up on all raw materials to ensure timely availability.
  • Regularly visit job workers and factories to track production progress.
  • Coordinate dispatches, manage courier partners, invoices, and payments across all vendors.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet our company standards and specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4-5 years of experience in product development, buying, merchandising, and production in a similar industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories, as well as the factory supplier base.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
