Job Overview:

We are seeking an expert in automotive diagnostics and system knowledge to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive diagnostic content for all automotive systems, including engine management, electric & hybrid systems, brake control, infotainment, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, and airbags.
  • Analyze vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzers.
  • Simulate automotive systems using simulator solutions and in conjunction with OE testers.
  • Design and create workflow or test sequences using IDEs like BDX or Grade-X.
  • Evaluate OE diagnostic data, derive useful insights, and implement in target tester.
  • Validate implemented diagnostic content on-vehicle and create test reports.
  • Benchmark and reverse-engineer aftersales & aftermarket diagnostic testers.
  • Assess coverage of aftermarket testers by performing tests on various vehicle brands and systems, in various markets, and create test reports.
  • Engage in continuous learning and self-development.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams and technical experts from global teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including sub-systems and components.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles effectively.
  • Able to comprehend OE system description, service & repair manuals.
  • Skilled at independently handling diagnostic testers.
  • Experienced in operating diagnostic testers like VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, Zenith, etc.
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams and conventions.
  • Sound knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, J1939.
  • Understanding of BDX-Bosch Data Extension.
  • Experience with analyzer & simulation tools from Vector or Samtec e.g., HSX, HS+, etc.
  • Proficient in Diag Help Tool.
  • Ability to handle various OEM testers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in aftersales vehicle service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting preferably in OEM dealerships/workshops.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive diagnostic content development.
  • BE/ B. Tech/ ME/ M. Tech - Automobile/Mechanical degree.
