Drive Train and Vehicle Mechanics

The ideal candidate will assist clients in leveraging our software, applying knowledge gained from interactions to enhance the platform.

They will join a Mechanical Application Engineering Group, working with GT-SUITE software to simulate electric motors, pumps, compressors, 3-D vehicle systems, and vehicle powertrains.

  • Evaluate and resolve technical support requests.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of business challenges and common objectives.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, shaping the product roadmap, enhancements, and improvements.
  • Conduct independent research on new software features and functionality.
  • Facilitate customer trainings, ensuring satisfaction and maximum usage.
  • Identify trends and inefficiencies to enhance support processes and improve user experience.
  • Mentor, coach, and train new team members.
  • Support evaluation projects and internal software development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in automotive, mechanical, process, aerospace engineering, etc.
  • 3 years of work experience designing powertrains and/or engines, including measurement and instrumentation, and controls.
  • Previous participation in SAE student competitions or similar societies or consortiums.
  • Technical expertise in Gear Design, Electrified Powertrains, Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH), Transmission and geartrain applications, Flexible Bodies and Finite Element methods, and 3-D MBD software skills.
  • Programming skills in Matlab, Python, etc.
