Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to oversee the validation of battery and BMS systems for electric vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of these critical components.

Responsibilities

  • Validate cells, battery packs, and BMS systems for use in electric vehicles.
  • Complete Design Verification Plans (DVP) for battery pack level testing, including performance and reliability assessments.
  • Conduct cell-level characterization and DVP for individual cells.
  • Perform pack-level lifecycle testing to evaluate ageing characteristics of battery packs.
  • Validate software algorithms for BMS systems, focusing on functional and safety aspects.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of various cell chemistries and knowledge of their applications.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle standards and regulations, including AIS and ISO functional safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of testing standards governing reliability and durability testing.
  • Working understanding of BMS hardware and typical architectures/topologies.
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment commonly used in battery and cell validation.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with software architectures and algorithm validation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
