Business valuation involves determining the economic value of a business.

This is typically done to determine the price at which a company may be sold, or to assess its worth in financial reporting and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will play a key part in performing and managing business valuation engagements for both financial reporting and tax purposes.

Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of valuation methodologies are essential in this position. You should have expertise in valuations related to:

  • Business Combinations / Purchase Price Allocation
  • Goodwill Impairments
  • Gift and Estate Valuation
  • 409A/Stock Compensation (ASC 718)
  • Reviewing of 3rd party valuations
  • Assembling market/guideline/comparable financial and valuation data
  • Valuation of Equity, Debt, Derivatives etc.
  • Litigation arising out of Shareholder disputes etc.
  • Financial Modelling

What you need to bring:

  • CFA, CA, MBA etc.
  • CFA or MBA (Finance) preferred
  • Proven hands-on experience
  • Ability and interest to work on multiple high-value projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial management software or willingness to learn
  • 8+ years' experience in business valuation field
  • Ability to think laterally and analytically
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgement and great ethical values
