Cost and Value Engineering Expertise

This role plays a key part in enhancing our competitiveness and profitability by applying cost and value engineering levers and methods.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize opportunities to optimize costs and add value through application of Cost and Value Engineering techniques.
  • Leverage Siemens-wide CVE network for effective collaboration.

Key Tasks:

  1. Stay up-to-date with production technology and costing best practices in specific material fields.
  2. Analyze and apply appropriate tools for Cost Analysis and Optimization (CAO), Supply Chain Productivity Improvement (SPI), and Design to Value (DtC).
  3. Calculate cost baselines and regularly update costs for components.
  4. Evaluate requirements and related costs as basis for proposals of DtC measures.
  5. Develop cost and value models that utilize information on specific production processes, equipment, suppliers, and related costs.

This key expert will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving cost models of manufacturing technologies and end products. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business results.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Cost and Value Engineering and have experience working with complex data sets. Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively are essential.
