Job Title: Production Manager – Solar Structures

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing unit. This is a critical leadership role aimed at delivering production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • The ideal candidate will lead and supervise all production activities on the shop floor to ensure timely output.
  • They will also be responsible for supervising job placement, material flow, and stage-wise movement during fabrication and assembly.
  • A key responsibility will be designing and executing layout plans for new lines/projects including fixtures, gauges, and equipment installations.
  • Maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine logs, and breakdown records is essential.
  • The successful candidate will manage in-process inventory and maintain an efficient flow across the production chain.
  • Collaboration with R&D and design teams for smooth onboarding of new products and structure types is crucial.
  • The individual will monitor production costs and resource utilization to meet predefined goals.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards is vital.
  • Driving lean manufacturing practices, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts is key.
  • The successful candidate will ensure adherence to quality benchmarks and industry certifications specific to solar structure manufacturing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related metal fabrication industry is necessary.
  • Proficiency in managing production machinery, tooling, and quality control processes is essential.
  • A solid understanding of solar mounting structures and associated fabrication methods is required.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and production planning tools is desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage shop floor teams and workflows are essential.
