Job Title:

Creative Print Operations Director

The Creative Print Operations Director oversees daily print operations for clients, ensuring timely project delivery through effective management. This position involves supervising client expectations and adhering to their process and policies.

  • Client Project Expectation Management: Manage client expectations while following established procedures and protocols.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical guidance to minimize costs.
  • Partner with Studios and Printers: Collaborate with artwork studios and printers to maintain quality prints and consistency.
  • Support During Design Phases: Assist during design phases through artwork processes, reviews, and risk identification.
  • Color Assessments: Engage in conversations regarding color assessments on print work.
  • Project Management: Employ strong project management skills to track timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Color Standards Storage: Manage color standards storage and support courier arrangements with logistics companies.
  • Challenge Resolution: Proactively resolve challenges.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Foster good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support onsite, offsite, or at printer's sites as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of progressive print production experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Client-facing experience and prior experience in project/account management.
  • Familiarity with Color Management or Separation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of various print methods (offset, flexo, gravure).
  • Excellent analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and external clients or vendors.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to details, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Occasional travel is required (local/international).
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
