Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled People Operations Business Partner to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant work experience and a Human Resources degree or related field.
  • A background in labor laws, employee relations case management, and large-scale people-related roles is essential.

About the Role:

  • This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You will be responsible for onboarding new employees, introducing them to our culture and policies, and ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed.
  • Ongoing support and engagement with employees, including check-ins, feedback, and conflict resolution, is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Onboard new employees on their first day, introduce them to our culture and policies, and oversee asset and access-related tasks.
  2. Conduct background verification processes for all new hires in partnership with vendors.
  3. Regularly check-in with new and existing employees to ensure high happiness and productivity levels.
  4. Partner with leaders and management to resolve people-related conflicts or concerns.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for the team, answering questions about policies and culture.
  6. Develop and execute fun online and offline activities to keep the team engaged.
  7. Create and manage communication materials, including email templates, policies, and engagement announcements.
  8. Collaborate with leaders to draft policies and add them to our handbook.
  9. Strategize programs to minimize attrition and maximize retention.
  10. Conduct exit interviews and oversee off-boarding processes.
  11. Issue letters and emails as needed.
  12. Plan team offsites and manage logistics.
  13. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute people processes.
  14. Negotiate with vendors to close and maintain partnerships.
  15. Process salary changes and payroll with the Finance team.
  16. Vet paperwork and contracts related to employee matters.
  17. Support the People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Human Resources degree or related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Maturity and ability to handle sensitive people matters.
  • High energy levels and enthusiasm for engagement activities.
  • Natural talent for people skills.
  • Empathy and rational decision-making.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in People Operations and large-scale people-related roles.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and employee relations case management.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations.
  • Effective problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with minimal guidance in a fluid environment.
  • Proficiency in numbers, MS Office, and related tools.
  • Prior experience with remote, global teams over 250 people.
