About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Product Stewardship Team as a Senior Associate – HazCom. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable hazard communication regulations and driving business growth through effective product stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and update Safety Data Sheets and labels for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in accordance with regional regulatory requirements.
  • Support the introduction of new products, classifications, and labeling, including dangerous goods classifications with SME inputs.
  • Interact with global customers, suppliers, and other functions to support hazard communication and regulatory compliance needs.
  • Apply a deep understanding of regulatory principles and industry practices to ensure compliance with changing chemical regulations in various regions.
  • Drive projects related to SDS creation and maintenance, as identified.
  • Provide regulatory approval for product creation, extension, and translation processes, ensuring that regional hazard communication needs are satisfied.
  • Ensure compliance through management of regulatory checks and blocks.
  • Support change management by initiating Notification of Change (NOC) and participating in Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Establish, manage, and report metrics for work and global reporting to measure progress on compliance and business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a chemical or related industry, with 4+ years of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance experience.
  • Experience in SDS authoring, with a good understanding of GHS and applicable regional regulations.
  • Excellent English verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer literacy in standard Microsoft office systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting to develop sound resolutions to issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
