Global Mobility Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for inquiries related to Employment Tax and Global Mobility Services. Your primary duty will be to work closely with clients, guiding them through complex employment tax issues and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You will also be responsible for analyzing residential status under Income Tax Act, FEMA, and tax treaties. Additionally, you will advise on tax and social security implications for employees and employers, including secondment arrangements and employer reporting obligations.

Your responsibilities will also include interpreting and applying provisions of DTAAs to minimize tax liabilities, handling complex tax returns, and analyzing and advising on taxability of equity plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze residential status under Income Tax Act, FEMA, and tax treaties
  • Advise on tax and social security implications for employees and employers
  • Interpret and apply provisions of DTAAs to minimize tax liabilities
  • Handle complex tax returns
  • Analyze and advise on taxability of equity plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • 3-4 years of experience in direct tax/expatriate tax services
  • Demonstrated experience in handling complex global mobility activities
