Overview

The Project Development Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing land acquisition activities for our wind projects.

This is a key position that requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure successful project implementation.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in land procurement and acquisition for renewable energy projects.

  • Land acquisition experience preferably in the renewable sector.
  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in land procurement/acquisition for Wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of government policies and regulatory requirements related to land acquisition and renewable energy projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support project development activities and collaborate with different departments for land acquisition and related tasks.
  • Identify suitable developers/aggregators for wind energy projects.
  • Ensure adherence to statutes and regulations related to land, forest, and other approvals.
  • Assess risks in land acquisition and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Lead legal due diligence and documentation to ensure clear and marketable title of the potential land.
  • Participate in drafting and finalizing agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless land acquisition.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Handle interactions with local agencies and stakeholders to facilitate smooth acquisition and usage of lands until commissioning.

  • Significant experience in land acquisition involving private/forest land.
  • Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
  • Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets and plans.
  • Results-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
