Technical Support Engineer

As a technical support engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless user experiences for software applications. You will work closely with the client success team to provide tier-2 client support for software technical issues and collaborate with the engineering department to debug and resolve these problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users, including customer service teams, clients, and partners
  • Communicate and coordinate feedback and inputs to the development team based in India
  • Assist the QA lead with quality assurance activities
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with minimal support from the development team
  • Engage with internal and external customers to quickly identify the root cause of their problems
  • Offer workarounds to customers when fixes will take time to be released
  • Deliver timely and accurate customer feedback
  • Follow up with clients to ensure problem resolution
  • Support the rollout of new applications
  • Provide support through procedural documentation
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Test and evaluate new releases
  • Propose innovative solutions for smooth operational processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology
  • Work during US hours (9 am to 6 pm central time)
  • Experience with tech support for web-based business applications and mobile interfaces
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Java, JavaScript (React), MySQL, AWS
  • Proficiency in browser-based debugging, JSON format, REST APIs, database queries, and logs
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software
  • Experience with ticket management tools like Clickup, Jira, Trello
  • Experience with texting and communication-based applications is a plus
  • Certifications in Linux, Java, web development, AWS are desirable but not required
  • Experience with AI tools for day-to-day tasks
  • Development mindset to scale into a developer with minimal training
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
