Are you excited to join our team as a Document Content Specialist?

We're seeking a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to maintain the knowledge base of an organization, support effective communication, and ensure accurate information is accessible. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, edit documents, and ensure the content adheres to relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • A strong portfolio of previous projects including impact data pointers will be an added advantage.
  • A comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience of document development life cycle (DDLC) and software document development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Develop and maintain various technical documents: user guides, product manuals, troubleshooting manuals, installation guides, quick start guides, presentations, videos, product tutorials, and more.
  • Craft compelling narratives about SmartQ's product suite across formats such as documents, presentations, videos, and more.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate technical details.
  • A firm hold on English grammar and other basic linguistic devices.
  • Translate technical information into easily understandable content for various user groups.
  • Review and edit documentation meticulously to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Work with product team to stay updated with new product features and follow-up on product documentation and video channel enablement.
  • Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes.
  • Lead documentation initiatives and drive guidelines and best practices for the technical writing function.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Adobe Technical Suite; Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Robosoft, will fetch brownie points.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in technical writing with experience in B2B SaaS companies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Rapid adaptability to grasp and communicate technologies effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A proactive attitude, driven by continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
