Academic Counsellor Job Description

As an Academic Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective learners towards their desired career goals.

You will work closely with high ticket size products, helping learners find the right educational programs to reskill or upskill and progress in their careers.

With excellent communication skills and the ability to listen effectively, you will persuade learners towards enrolling in courses while ethically influencing their decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Help prospective learners find suitable educational programs.
  • Guide learners through the decision-making process and persuade them to enrol.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for potential learners, offering career advice and insights into how they can accelerate their professional journey.
  • Provide personalized career counselling to potential learners, assisting them in charting their career trajectory and demonstrating how they can facilitate their goals.
  • Meet targets and contribute to individual performance.

Requirements:

- 1-3 years of sales experience.

- Preferably a sales or counselling experience with an Edtech organisation.

- Minimum graduation or above.

- Currently working in the capacity of an individual contributor.

Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.

Ability to approach situations with patience and empathy.

Strong analytical skills to identify and meet targets.

Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently.

Working Conditions:

6 days working, from-office role.
