This role is responsible for assisting in the management of a kitchen team, focusing on the successful accomplishment of daily objectives.
- The Lead Kitchen Associate will lead staff members while contributing to the overall success of the kitchen operation.
Candidate Profile
- To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related field.
- OR
- A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field; 2 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related field.
- Maintaining Culinary Standards and Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to food handling and sanitation standards.
- Perform duties of Culinary and related kitchen area employees during peak periods.
- Oversee production and preparation of culinary items.
- Ensure work areas are clean and sanitary.
- Supervise daily shift operations.
- Ensure all employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
- Supervise staffing levels to meet operational needs and guest service expectations.
- Participate in department meetings to communicate goals and objectives.
- Support new menu concepts and promotions.
- Set a positive example for guest relations.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Report malfunctions in department equipment.
- Purchase necessary supplies within budget.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings.
