About the Company - US based Direct Selling company, listed among the 100 leading global companies of the industry, is looking for a talented fulltime Country Manager, India (m/f/d) to join our growing organization.
About the Role - DIRECT SALES EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. We will open the India market in Q2 2025. The country manager will lead the business development strategy and execution of the Indian market:
- Prelaunch phase: support existing international distributors for entering the Indian community in markets where our company is already operating. Implement a launch strategy for India, targeted to local needs. Building of a local corporate team.
- Drive market progress: Create and maintain a productive environment that drives the expansion of the distributor networks, supports retention and fosters relationship with key leadership. Drive the development of the market and lead the local corporate team.
- Align goals: Ensure that company's goals are aligned with the local market conditions and needs
Responsibilities
Internal:
- Oversee daily operations, lead resources' allocation, build culture, based on new business development.
- Assign performance goals and track completion, provide guidance and feedback to help the corporate team strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively and in alignment with company goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with the US based headquarters, the European office, and other internal departments to leverage shared services and ensure information-flow.
- Report and communicate progress, performance, and feedback to senior management and other relevant parties.
External:
- Develop strategies that are targeted to local needs.
- Execute initiatives to drive sales and to grow distributors' organizations.
- Develop strong partnerships with distributors to support growing their business.
- Partner closely with leaders and high performing distributors to organize meetings, presentations and educational training focused on growth, retention, and leadership development.
- Identify high potential distributors, set objectives with them and support them through personal coaching and individual support.
- Travel to distributors' events as needed.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise in the country.
- Benchmarking: stay informed about Direct Selling and market trends and advise on changes or application to the Indian market. Additionally, identify growth opportunities for the market.
- Strengthen company and market image and reputation.
Qualifications
- A business related first degree, or equivalent experience would be preferred, a good standard of general education is required.
- 5+ years' sales experience in management position in the Direct Selling industry required.
- International experience.
- Strategic planner.
- Proven experience of achieving results through encouraging and supporting the actions of others.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Performance and results driven, entrepreneurial personality.
- Principled and ethical character, passionate in beliefs with the presence and self-confidence to present strongly at all levels.
- Excellent time-management and prioritization, ability to work under pressure.
- Self-starting personality, pro-active and self-motivated.
- Communication facilitator.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to gain alignment among various groups with competing interests.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); any additional language is of advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable and flexible - particularly regarding working hours as this role will require providing support to evening and weekend business meetings and participating in local corporate events.
