At Iuvo Systems we provide outsourced accounting, system configuration, new system implementation, consulting, training, and staff augmentation to Government Contractors. We are seeking an Accountant to work in a full-time capacity assisting our various clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute month-end close tasks, preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for areas such as T&E Expense, Intercompany, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, and Expense Accruals.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses, investigating variances as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting schedules.
  • Evaluate current processes and systems to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting processes and systems.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by providing timely, insightful financial information and reports to finance and non-finance business partners.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits, responding to external auditor inquiries.
  • Handle ad hoc accounting projects and requests as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (preference for chartered accountants)
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to thrive in deadline-driven, high-pressure situations
  • Hands-on experience in finance operations, particularly in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or payroll
  • Minimum 1-4 years of post-qualification experience
  • Ambition to advance to a senior engagement role
  • Solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Capability to manage multiple engagements and collaborate with both domestic and U.S.-based teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, or QuickBooks
  • Background in a major consultancy (e.g., Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) is a plus
