Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic leader with a robust background in academia and industry partnerships to drive our organizations national initiatives for skilling and placement facilitation. This senior-level role demands a professional who began their career in academics and transitioned into student placement facilitation, demonstrating extensive experience in building and managing partnerships between industry and academia. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in establishing impactful collaborations, specifically in the skilling and higher education sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development:


  • Forget strategic partnerships with industries, educational institutions, and skilling bodies across sectors to align student outcomes with market needs.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with corporate leaders, industry associations, and academia to create job placement pipelines for students.


Program Management & Execution:


  • Develop and execute partnership strategies that enhance employability and skill-building opportunities for students nationwide.
  • Design, oversee, and continuously improve skilling and placement programs in alignment with current industry demands.


Strategic Industry Engagement:


  • Facilitate dialogue between academia and industry to co-develop curriculum content, internships, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Identify and assess emerging industry trends, aligning training programs to fulfill future workforce requirements and creating a competitive edge for the organization.


Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:


  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating partnership goals, progress, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to integrate skilling initiatives within the broader organizational framework and achieve targeted placement goals.


Thought Leadership & Networking:


  • Represent the organization at industry forums, educational conferences, and public events to advocate for progressive skilling policies and practices.
  • Contribute insights on workforce trends and skills gaps to inform government policies and institutional collaborations.


Performance Tracking & Reporting:


  • Implement performance metrics to evaluate the success of industry partnerships and placement outcomes.
  • Prepare regular reports on partnership activities, placement metrics, and program performance for leadership and funding stakeholders.



Key Qualifications:

  • Academic Background: A minimum of 20 years of experience, beginning in academia, with a transition into student placements and industry engagement within higher education or skilling organizations.
  • Experience:
  • Proven track record in building and managing large-scale partnerships between industry and academia.
  • Extensive experience in skilling and higher education environments, with a strong network of industry contacts.


Skills:

Strategic planning and execution, especially in industry-academia collaboration.

Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder communication skills.

Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented approach to measuring partnership success.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in pan-India skilling and placement initiatives and an understanding of the latest trends in workforce development and industry requirements.
