Industry: Skilling, Education, Workforce Development


Role Overview:

The DGM Industry Collaboration will act as a vital bridge between corporate employers and the skilling company. This individual will identify industry needs, build relationships with organizations hiring in bulk, and provide actionable insights to develop skilling programs that supplement school and college curricula. The role aims to ensure seamless placement of skilled students in corporate roles.


Key Responsibilities


Industry Partnerships

  • Build and nurture relationships with HR Heads, Recruitment Heads, and CXOs of companies with high-volume hiring needs.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to understand talent gaps and workforce requirements in various industries.
  • Needs Assessment Collaborate with hiring organizations to assess skill requirements for entry-level roles.
  • Gather feedback from corporates to align skilling content with industry demands.

Program Design Input

  • Provide detailed insights to the content development team for creating targeted skilling modules.
  • Ensure skilling programs align with corporate expectations, increasing student employability.


Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the point of contact for corporates, addressing their queries and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Engage regularly with educational institutions to facilitate industry-aligned skilling initiatives.


Placement Coordination

  • Actively work with companies to ensure placement opportunities for students trained through skilling programs.
  • Monitor and report placement success rates to measure program effectiveness.


Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on hiring trends, emerging industries, and skill demands across sectors.
  • Identify new industries or companies for collaboration opportunities.


Key Competencies

  • Networking & Relationship Management: Proven ability to establish and sustain strong connections with senior HR professionals and CXOs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of corporate hiring practices, talent pipelines, and workforce development trends.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze industry needs and translate them into actionable skilling initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple partnerships and ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong aptitude for addressing challenges in aligning skilling programs with industry expectations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR, or related fields. An MBA/PGDM is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate relations, recruitment consulting, or workforce planning.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with organizations hiring in bulk.
  • Familiarity with skilling programs and workforce development initiatives is an advantage.
  • Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
