This role involves selling payment gateway solutions to ERP providers, Edtech, institutions—schools, colleges, and universities—across India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, converting prospects into merchants, and managing long-term relationships to drive retention and growth.Role & Responsibilities: Identify and target ERP providers, Edtech & educational institutions for payment gateway onboardingBuild and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads across regionsConduct outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person meetingsPresent tailored payment solutions to decision-makers (finance heads, principals, trustees)Lead negotiations, close deals, and ensure smooth onboarding of new merchantsCustomize proposals based on institutional payment workflows and fee structuresServe as the primary relationship manager for acquired institutionsMonitor transaction volumes, resolve issues, and drive usage growthIdentify upsell opportunities (e.g., recurring payments, integrations, analytics)Track competitor offerings and trends in education paymentsProvide feedback to product and operations teams to improve merchant experienceMaintain accurate CRM records and report weekly/monthly performance metricsCollaborate with onboarding, support, and tech teams to ensure merchant successPreferred Qualifications:12 years of B2B sales experience having sold payment gateway solutions, EdTech Solutions, preferably in the Education sectorStrong understanding of education industry landscape in India, with demonstrable record of having developed deep commercial relationshipsExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsUnderstanding of nuances of Payments business is preferredFamiliarity with CRM tools and sales automation platformsMBA preferredSelf-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
