Business Development Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibility for the management of all aspects of the consumer business of headphones, microphones, turntables, electronics and accessories for Audio-Technica in India.
Achievement of the sales target as set by the company.
Management and optimization of the online and offline distribution channel for consumer product lines
Establishment and management of channel relationships with online retailers as well as large format retail organizations in India.
Development of an extensive knowledge of Audio-Technica and competitive products, applications, features, technical aspects, and category trends.
Development of a deep understanding of the Market and implementation of product plans, pricing, promotion and placement strategies to help foster and grow the channel, brand awareness and ultimately increase brand perception overall
Development and implementation of comprehensive Marketing, Advertising, Event & Public Relations plans to increase brand awareness.
Interaction with the website management company to ensure all consumer product related information on the A-T India website is up to date.
Management of the Social Media Interaction for the brand along with relevant teams.
Provide the Management team with detailed market information and competitive studies.
Provide the Management team with weekly and monthly reports and other MIS documents as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
College degree.
Greater than 5 years of experience in consumer electronics or related consumer product field with similar job function as detailed in the responsibilities above.
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with e-mail and business systems.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and proof-reading skills, and attention to detail necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills are required for working in a team environment.
Willing to work initially from a Home Office setup.
Willing to travel extensively.
Location preference is for Bangalore based candidates.
