This role is for category management of our industry leading Smart Phones. This is a P&L role and the category manager will be responsible for driving the revenue, volume, market share and profitability for assigned product line. This individual will be responsible for developing pricing strategies, managing product lifecycle, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and overall go to market.


Key responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the assigned product category
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GTM operations, sales channels, marketing and finance, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing category sustenance
  • Responsible for driving PnL of the category by driving appropriate strategies and long term initiatives
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs - Develop pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profitability
  • Manage product lifecycle from conception to end-of-life, ensuring product viability and relevance in the market
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry associations
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans for the product category
  • Manage a team of product managers and support staff to achieve business objectives
  • Stakeholder Management - HQ team, Sales Channels, Marketing, Finance, SCM, AS and CS


Qualifications:


  • MBA degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or related field - Proven track record of successfully launching and growing products in the market
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive business decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience managing teams and developing talent
  • Knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape
  • Prefer candidates from mobile industry/white appliances
