This position plays a pivotal role in managing a specific product category within the company.

The key responsibilities encompass strategy, execution, and leadership to drive growth and profitability for the category.

Key Outcomes Expected from this role:

• Optimized product assortment to meet customer demand and reduce stockouts.

• Strong supplier relationships that enhance product quality and availability.

• Data-driven decision-making to maintain a competitive advantage and adapt to market trends.

• ensure the company's product offering is competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer needs and market opportunities

Roles & Responsibilities:

Category Strategy Development:

Formulate and execute the long-term strategy for the product category, including product selection, pricing, and distribution strategies. Identify growth opportunities, such as product line expansions, market penetration & new product development. Align category goals with overall company objectives to drive revenue growth and profitability.

Sales & Profitability Management:

Monitor category sales performance and profitability, adjusting plans to meet targets. Collaborate with sales Ops teams to set and achieve sales goals. Analyze customer demand, trends, and competitive activity to make informed business decisions.

Product Management:

Manage the product assortment within the category, ensuring the right mix of products is available based on market trends and consumer preferences. Oversee product lifecycle management, including launches, discontinuations, and updates. Ensure alignment with market needs and customer (Bhumi’s) preferences.

Supply & Demand Management:

Play a critical role in forecasting demand, managing supply chain processes, and ensuring efficient inventory management. analyze sales trends, collaborate with various departments, and ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of products by coordinating with Procurement team. optimize the balance between customer demand and product supply, minimizing stockouts, and reducing excess inventory

Market Research and Consumer Insights:

Collaborate with Marketing teams to create and implement effective promotional campaigns for the category. Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and seasonal promotions. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust them based on performance data.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and Biz finance teams to align category strategies with overall business goals. Coordinate with marketing teams to develop effective promotional strategies, product positioning, and brand messaging. Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and efficient distribution.
