Human Resources Manager Talent Acquisition

The HR Manager - Talent Acquisition will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, focusing on attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for Alliance University. The role will include developing recruitment strategies, enhancing the university's employer brand, and ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process for faculty, administrative staff, and executive roles. The HR Manager will also work closely with academic and non-academic departments to understand their hiring needs and ensure the timely acquisition of qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality faculty, staff, and administrative professionals.
- Work closely with department heads to understand specific hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment plans for academic and non-academic positions.
- End-to-End Recruitment:
- Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, initial screenings, interviews, reference checks, and offer negotiations.
- Ensure that all recruitment efforts align with the university’s goals and meet deadlines for open positions.
- Candidate Sourcing:
- Leverage multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals, to identify top talent.
- Establish partnerships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and recruitment agencies to expand the candidate pool.
- Employer Branding:
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication team to enhance the university’s employer brand.
- Ensure the university’s job openings and culture are effectively communicated to prospective candidates through online platforms and career fairs.
- Recruitment Operations:
- Maintain and manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure a smooth and organized recruitment process.
- Regularly update key stakeholders on the status of open positions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment metrics.
- Ensure adherence to recruitment best practices, including compliance with employment laws and university policies.
- International Faculty Recruitment:
- Develop strategies for international recruitment, especially for senior faculty and specialized academic positions.
- Assist in managing visa processes and onboarding for international hires, ensuring a smooth transition to the university.
- Onboarding and Induction:
- Work with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new hires.
- Organize and facilitate orientation sessions for new employees, introducing them to the university’s culture, policies, and resources.
- Data and Metrics:
- Track and analyze key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, to continuously improve recruitment processes.
- Provide regular recruitment reports to HR leadership and university administration.
- Employee Referrals and Engagement:
- Promote the employee referral program to encourage internal recommendations for open positions.
- Engage with current employees to gather feedback on the recruitment process and identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure that all recruitment activities comply with university policies, employment laws, and ethical hiring practices.
- Maintain transparency and fairness throughout the hiring process, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are preferred.
- Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a focus on higher education or related sectors.
- Strong experience in recruiting for academic, administrative, and senior leadership roles.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and legal compliance in hiring.
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously.
- Knowledge of international recruitment practices and experience with visa processing (preferred).
