Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Technical Specialist to join our Security Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and analyzing technical security events to determine severity and appropriate response activities. This role involves hands-on work in various security tooling, including SIEM, EDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, and SOAR solutions. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of threat actor methodologies, networking and information technology systems, cloud computing, and Dev Sec Ops practices. Key responsibilities include:Conducting investigative actions and documenting remediation efforts with action item owners.Communicating risk and impact associated with cyber events to Information Security leadership and business stakeholders.Developing and/or consuming detailed threat assessments inclusive of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures.Performing forensic analysis of endpoints and cloud assets to determine extent of a compromise and attribution of threat actions.Developing understanding of existing technology infrastructure, ensuring optimization across all major functions.Independently completing work tasks with minimal oversight.Peer reviewing work completed by Sr. Cyber Technical Specialists. Experience Requirements Advanced knowledge of threat actor methodologies and attack techniques.Advanced knowledge of the MITRE Attack framework and its applicability to proactive cyber defense planning as well as response activities.Advanced knowledge of networking and information technology systems.Advanced knowledge of security operations technologies.Advanced knowledge of cloud computing and Dev Sec Ops practices.
