Job Overview:

We are in search of a talented and versatile Garment Merchandiser to join our team. This role combines the responsibilities of a merchandiser and a designer, requiring a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the fashion industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and production of garments from concept to delivery, ensuring they meet both creative vision and market demands.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and finalize orders.
  • Manage the sampling process, ensuring prototypes meet client specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor production schedules and track order progress to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Source and negotiate with fabric and accessory suppliers to meet quality and cost requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, inventory, and shipment details.
  • Resolve any issues related to production, quality, or delivery delays.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure finished goods align with client expectations and standards.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, fabrics, and garment techniques to provide innovative solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textiles, or related field.
  • Proven experience in garment merchandising, design, or production management, preferably in the apparel industry.
  • Strong design skills with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and technical specifications.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written), including the use of MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and aesthetics.
  • Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
