Job Role Summary
You will work towards conducting market research and feasibility studies to analyze the viability of alternative business development opportunities for increasing sales opportunities and thereby maximizing the sales volumes by working closely with the Sales team, Marketing team, Product marketing, dealers, financiers and all the stakeholders. The role will entail execution on the ground in conjunction with the field teams to ensure organizational volume & market share goals are met.

Key Deliverables
Identifying potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Coordinating and managing technical and commercial bid preparation including cost estimates etc.
Developing and maintaining liaison / network with relevant stakeholders, especially government agencies.
Analyzing the development and understanding of the nature of the Vehicle / market eco-system.
Preparation of bidding documents, submission, and follow up with clients.
Building strong relation with Dealers, Regional Sales & Service teams to deploy actions in new Markets.
Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and financials and evaluating options.
Supporting the sales team to recognize prospective customers, increasing the number of enquiries and working towards high conversion ratio.
Developing location wise strategies based on potential and opportunities and supporting these locations through inputs on activities and resources.
Managing existing customers and network to ensure continued satisfaction and building on solutions to meet their evolving needs.
Recommending products to customers, based on their needs and interests, and responding to customer’s queries on products, prices, availability, and credit terms.
Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities, identifying opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to increase in sales.
Monitoring market conditions, product innovations and competitor’s products, prices, and sales as well as customer preferences to determine sales efforts and actions.
Finding and developing new markets and improving sales by increasing the value of current customers and attracting potential customers.
Identifying and developing the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators by using knowledge of the market and competitors’ data.
Creating and maintaining up-to-date market, sales, and financial forecasts to support volume reporting and assessment of business activities.
Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; examining risks and potentials and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Ensuring timely payments & collections from key accounts in accordance with their credit period as per the terms of their order.

Qualifications

Bachelor‘s degree.
Total 10 years of experience in the industry, with proven sales experience of minimum 5 years in an Automobile Sector.
Extensive experience with customer account management, key accounts delivering sales and margin growth within a B2B environment.
Exposure and knowledge of the 3-WheelerBusiness and Business development experience for an Automotive manufacturer.
Strong capability for business planning, project management and forecast control.
Experience at finding and developing new business with the ability to engage in technical discussions with customers / partners regarding the product.
Electric Vehicles within Automobile engineering like, Commercial Vehicles, Passenger Vehicles, Three-Wheeler, or related fields.

Core and functional competencies.
Strong networking skills, excellent organizational skills, proactive and ability to handle challenging market scenarios.
Result oriented with strong negotiation and selling skills.
Commercial awareness and good knowledge of competitor activity and market conditions.
Excellent analytical skills and influencing ability for dealing with potential customers.
Self-starter with high level of energy, enthusiasm, and motivation.
Highly customer focused with an aptitude to understand and meet their needs.

Key Success Factors
Meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets from key accounts.
Expansion of business in new locations and territories.
Increased customer base and market share of different products.

Collections as per plan & budget.
