Procurement Lead @ The Salad House (Gurgaon) - Food Startup
About Us: The Salad House is a growing food brand in Gurgaon serving fresh, gourmet salads made with love and high-quality ingredients. We&aposre building a brand that people can trust and that starts with sourcing the best ingredients every day.
Note: Must be comfortable with frequent visits to local mandis, including Azadpur Mandi and others across NCR.
What Youll Do: As our Procurement Lead, youll ensure our kitchens always have the right ingredients fresh, high-quality, and on time. Youll own vendor relationships, drive cost efficiency, and build a supply chain that aligns with our food philosophy.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Source and manage fruits, vegetables, proteins, dairy, and pantry items
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, vendors, and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules
- Ensure consistent quality and food safety standards
- Onboard, evaluate, and manage new suppliers
- Reduce risk by maintaining multiple sourcing options for key ingredients
- Support menu innovations with timely procurement of new ingredients
- Maintain accurate records, pricing, and inventory data
- Collaborate with kitchen and brand teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Track procurement metrics (COGS, substitutions, wastage, etc.) and report regularly.
