Job Description Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities: - Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and national regulations. - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. - Coordinate safety training programs for employees to increase awareness and ensure adherence to safety protocols. - Investigate accidents and near-misses, analyze root causes, and develop preventive measures to avoid future incidents. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities. - Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance safety standards. - Prepare reports for management on key safety performance indicators and recommend areas for improvement. - Lead emergency response drills and ensure readiness to handle crisis situations effectively. - Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related queries and provide guidance to employees at all levels. Behavioural Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach. - Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. - Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. Technical Skills - Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the Power/Energy industry. - Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques. - Familiarity with safety management systems and tools for data analysis and reporting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Non-Negotiable Skills: - Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing safety programs. - Proven track record of driving a safety culture and reducing incidents in a similar industry. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience QUALIFICATIONS - 10-12 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry with a focus on safety management. Education Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
