Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Event Sales to lead our sales efforts, focusing on securing sponsorships, delegate sales, and speaker engagements for our wide range of events, including conferences and summits. This role involves team leadership, client acquisition, and contributing to the strategic direction of our events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event sales, team management, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the sales strategy and execution for event sponsorships, delegate sales, and speaker engagements.
Drive revenue generation for various conferences, summits, and events by identifying and acquiring new clients and partnerships.
Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, delegates, speakers, and other event partners.
Identify new business opportunities and industry trends to expand the company&aposs event portfolio and audience.
Negotiate and close high-value sponsorship deals while ensuring mutually beneficial relationships.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the companys event offerings and industry landscape.
Track and report on sales performance, including setting goals and targets for the team, and ensuring KPIs are met.
Oversee the creation of sales collateral and marketing materials in collaboration with the marketing team.
Ensure smooth and effective communication across the team and other departments to deliver a seamless event experience for clients.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in event sales, with a focus on sponsorships, delegate sales, and client acquisition.
Proven leadership experience, having successfully managed and motivated sales teams.
Strong network within the events industry, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level relationships.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Strong analytical skills to measure performance and set sales goals.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous experience working with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
Desired Skills:
Experience with large-scale conferences, summits, and B2B events.
Ability to adapt to changing client needs and the dynamic nature of the events industry.
