Job Description Co-Founder (Technical) - FridayAI Equity: 10% Location: Remote Commitment: Full-time, hands-on builder Investment: Required (small founder-level skin in the game) Company Description FridayAI is an AI product research and engineering company building the next generation of Artificially Useful Intelligence (AUI). Our focus is simple: make AI genuinely useful in the real world. We work on enterprise-grade systems that optimize cost, speed, and intelligence by combining deep infra knowledge with applied AI design. We're currently in the final stage of building our core product - an Adaptive Context Window (ACW) engine for enterprises - and we are now expanding the founding team. Role Description We are hiring a technical co-founder who wants to build a real company, not just join a job. This is not an internship, not a side-gig, and not an advisory role. You'll directly influence architecture, product direction, business strategy, and go-to-market. You'll work with the founding team on: - Scaling the ACW engine and related AI infra tools - Engineering direction, architecture decisions, and hands-on development - Identifying new market opportunities and helping close enterprise clients - Shaping GTM strategy and product roadmap - Working directly on infra cost optimization, model integration, and devops pipelines - Fundraising and investor conversations - Building a strong engineering culture from day one We expect someone who wants to own, build, and grow a real AI business. Required Skills Technical - 2+ years Python (strong fundamentals) - 2+ years FastAPI (production experience) - Strong with Docker and containerized deployments - Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) - AWS fundamentals: EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Load Balancers, ECR, CloudWatch - Comfortable with ML infra or LLM systems (not mandatory but a big plus) - Strong debugging, architecture thinking, and problem-solving under pressure Founder Mindset - Wants to build an actual company, not just write code - Visionary thinking combined with execution discipline - Comfortable with uncertainty and fast iterations - Can take ownership of engineering end-to-end - Strong communication and decision-making - Entrepreneurial drive to push product from prototype to revenue Investment - Small founder-level investment required (for skin-in-the-game and alignment) What You Get - 10% equity in a fast-moving AI product company - Co-founder title and full ownership of engineering roadmap - Direct influence on company direction, product decisions, and tech strategy - Opportunity to build enterprise-grade AI infra from scratch - A chance to shape a category-defining product in a high-growth space
