About Commercial Banking Group
The Commercial Banking Group is responsible for delivering One Axis to clients with a turnover between Rs 10 Crs. to Rs 250 Crs. by offering products & solutions around forex, trade, payments, cash management and tax payments along with retail products like salary, trust services, forex, commercial card, credit cards etc.

About the Role

Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join the Central Office Portfolio Team of Small Business Banking (SBB).

The incumbent will be responsible for managing key aspects of the Working Capital portfolio, with a focus on portfolio health, customer retention, process improvements, and escalation management.

The role requires strong analytical capability, cross-functional coordination, and a proactive approach to risk and customer management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Early Warning Signal (EWS) Monitoring & Actioning

- Monitor and analyze portfolio health through early warning indicators, portfolio triggers, and behavioral patterns.
- Coordinate with regional portfolio managers and the risk team for timely tagging of potential stress cases.
- Drive action plans for Exit Mark tagged cases, ensuring follow-through till closure.
- Track resolution progress and share insights for portfolio risk mitigation.

2. Customer Retention & Engagement

- Work closely with the portfolio team to design and execute proactive and reactive retention strategies.
- Leverage tools like CIBIL triggers, enhancement opportunities, and lead retention models to retain high-value customers.
- Identify early signs of attrition and coordinate targeted engagement plans to improve customer stickiness.

3. Escalation Management & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

- Own the process of managing customer escalations related to the working capital portfolio.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses of escalations and recommend solutions for recurring issues.
- Partner with product, risk, and operations teams to drive process improvements based on RCA learnings.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Portfolio Insights

- Liaise with central risk, credit, and product teams to ensure portfolio decisions are aligned with business objectives.
- Provide portfolio insights, trends, and feedback to improve underwriting, monitoring, and retention frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in portfolio management, credit, or risk in the banking/financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
