Company Description Global Service Center GSC operating from Chennai India is a part of CHQ - IS supporting Expeditors Information Services GSC started with 6 employees now we are 540 employees today delivering world class Information services globally This Strategic Center s plays a vital role in delivering value to our people business and customers We will continue to deliver services as we continue to grow responsibly in the coming years Expeditors is a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle Washington As 500 company we employ over 19 000 trained professionals in a worldwide network of over 350 locations across six continents Expeditors satisfies the increasingly sophisticated needs of international trade through customized solutions and seamless integrated information systems SUMMARY The Velocity Variety and Volume of Big Data are the driving forces behind Expeditors global logistics operations as we move freight across the world daily We offer an exciting opportunity to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics ED A team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality integrity and reliability of this massive data landscape You ll be instrumental in building a robust data lake environment and supporting users by guaranteeing flawless data ingestion analysis and visualization You ll collaborate with highly skilled software development engineers working with Event-Driven Architecture Domain-Driven Design and Event Sourcing If you re passionate about data quality love digging into complex data challenges and are excited about leveraging automation to ensure data excellence we want to talk to you The ED A team is looking for Azure Data Administrator who will perform administration of various Data Ecosystem including Warehouse Data Factory Data Lake as part of a collection of systems in a large technology ecosystem This role will oversee the entire Data Platform ensuring it to be secure scalable resilient monitored auditable and cost optimized The ideal candidate will be a self-starter collaborative team player and problem solver The ED A team is highly collaborative and communicative internally within the IS department and throughout the company as a whole Excellent communication and customer service are always priority one KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Performing upgrades maintenance and implementing system modifications in our cloud platform Develop and enforce policies and procedures for platform administration Review and maintain documentation for users and administrators Maintenance and troubleshooting skills in Azure Fabric platform and to resolve issues Review and evaluate tasks based on priority and set clear deadlines to instill a sense of urgency Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction Support users during change control and system updates Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in managing Azure Cloud and or AWS Cloud Experience with networking and security configurations data access control security models EntraID and firewalls Experience in automation tools and CI CD pipelines to streamline the deployment and management of HA DR solutions Experience in capacity planning cloud cost analysis and cloud resources optimization Manage various Azure data pipelines job schedules and systems to ensure performance and uptime Co-ordination with application migration team for data setup and customer reporting DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Good to have knowledge in Logistics domain Knowledge in Databricks ADLS Gen2 Azure Data Factory and Data Warehouse Synapse Experience with Azure DevOps GitHub or other code repository tools is a plus Experience with Azure Data Fabric workspaces domains tenant-wide settings capacities and user roles Azure certifications data related REPORTING STRUCTURE Team Manager Enterprise Data and Analytics Additional Information Expeditors offers excellent benefits Paid Vacation Holiday Health Plan Medical Insurance Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and Education Programs Unlimited opportunities for career advancement
