Role Description

The Cloud Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's cloud infrastructure to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable operations. This role involves hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, focusing on system administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Daily responsibilities include monitoring cloud resources, managing virtual machines, configuring storage solutions, and optimizing network performance. The administrator will ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness by implementing and maintaining robust backup and restoration strategies. The role also involves managing user access controls, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies, and maintaining system documentation for audits and governance.

The Cloud Administrator will work closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to deploy and manage applications, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities extend to monitoring system health, applying updates and patches, managing identity and access via Azure Active Directory, and optimizing cloud costs through resource planning and utilization analysis.

Additionally, the administrator will be expected to troubleshoot system and network issues, implement network security measures, and proactively identify risks to minimize downtime. Collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new technologies is a key part of this role.

Overall, the Cloud Administrator plays a crucial part in maintaining the stability, security, and scalability of the organization's cloud ecosystem, driving operational excellence, and ensuring smooth IT infrastructure performance in alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Cloud Administration (with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure) and System Administration
  • Strong expertise in Troubleshooting and Infrastructure Management
  • Solid understanding of Network Security principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within technical and cross-functional teams
  • Relevant certifications in Azure Cloud Technologies or Network Security are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
